Contra is transforming the future of independent work. We are looking for a Product Manager to join our quickly growing product team and help us in establishing the foundation of our product & team.
You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for our marketplace team, which is responsible for helping clients (startups to large enterprises) in discovering, and ultimately hiring, top independents on Contra’s platform. This role is critical to the future of Contra’s success as we build out an effective growth loop for the independent workforce. You will own the product vision for this team and then work with a cross-functional team of the best designers, frontend, and backend engineers to make this vision a reality.

How you’ll make an impact

Own the mission, strategy, and goals of a given product area
Set the roadmap for how Contra supports in hiring top independents
Lead a cross-functional team of engineers and designers in the development of new product initiatives & experiments
Identify, assess and scope product opportunities based on user research & data inputs, driving new feature development from conception to launch and optimization
Write effective product requirement documents and user stories that capture feature requirements


You’ll be successful here if

You are an A+ communicator (both verbal + written) that has a strong track record in creating alignment across stakeholders
You are a resourceful & goal-oriented PM. Contra is shaping the future of independent work and as such we have large goals in front of us, we want someone that thinks outside the box to reach our product goals
You have experience making data-driven decisions (analytical skills is a plus!) – at Contra, we strive to experiment and iterate to deliver the best product experience possible
You operate well in a remote-based environment (and are within ~3 hours of Pacific Timezone)
You are passionate about building beautiful and functional products that exceed user needs
3+ years experience preferred
Marketplace experience a plus

Non-technical (introduction & culture) interview (30-45 minutes)
Case Study interview with PM and CEO (45 minutes)
